Program Description:

The healthcare delivery model has been constantly evolving, and the reality of being a solo practice physician is becoming more and more difficult. To survive, the trend of physicians coming together to form a group practice is growing. The presentation will address this trend, as well as issues to consider when forming a group practice. These include corporate issues, governance, and regulatory considerations such as complying with the Stark law to meet the criteria to be a “group practice” under Stark, and other issues. As they grow, many group practices are considering entering into agreements with management companies to manage their practice. This presentation will address prevalent issues that arise in management service contracts (sometimes called “Administrative Services Agreements”). There will be time for Q & A after the presentation.
